Team four is getting ready to bed down for the night day in anticipation for our ride at 2am (midnight, Pacific time) across the last part of Missouri. Looking forward to seeing the Mississippi River shortly.
But a little bit about where we are now. If you think home prices are too high in California, you should think about the Mid West. According to the local real estate book, you can get home with 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2 fireplaces, a full basement on 8 acres for only $239,900...
Team four would also like to point out that nothing goes to waste on this trip. For proof, check out the following photograph of Matt and Steve getting their sports drinks ready today:
It's a good thing we found that pile of Gatorade at the hotel...
Glad to see that you're wasting no funds...is the med van nearby in case Matt's tongue is scraped?

Hey Everyone! Glad to see the ride is still going smooth. The pictures are great. And glad to hear and see pictures from Team 2 as well. How about a word from Teams 1 & 3? Thanks to whoever is responsible for updating the little "map" on the website. I love clicking on it to see where you are! I'm thinking some of the team will be stopping by my friend Debbie & Jeff Cox's house in St. Louis, MO. Say hello for me!

Ode to Team Will:
Our Team Will is riding to "reach the day"
Men and women of courage, going a very long way.
Riders, drivers, medics and others,
Who have left behind jobs, friends, children, and mothers.
Your website keeps us posted, with pictures and BLOGs,
Containing jokes about Kansas, tuna cans and dogs.
Although you may fall from your bike, and they stitch up your head,
You never give up, just keep riding instead.
Whether you ride in the day, in the night, or at morn,
You're riding for children, yet to be born.
You'll give them a life full of joy, that's quite long,
In bodies that live cancer-free, sure and strong.
Ride like the wind, your God leads the way,
Ride on blessed team, you must reach the day.

Once again I am amazed at your progress. You guys will need to write a book when you get back and then we can sell it as the funding basis for next year's event..hey, we could have autographed copies at the Silent Auction!
By the way, I went to school in the mid-west right after high school. Unless things have really, really changed..I am thinking that the housing prices are too high!
Glad to hear everyone is doing well and that you are ahead of schedule. God continues to shower His blessings upon you.
Take care,
Terri
